What we do with your email.
Short, because very little happens. We collect one thing, we use it for one purpose, and you can have it deleted by asking.

The whole of it: if you enter your email address on our home page, we store that address so we can write to you once when early access opens. We do not use cookies, we do not track you, we do not run analytics, and we never sell or share your address. Email hello@formulaite.app and we will delete it.
Who is responsible for your data
Formulaite is operated by [YOUR FULL LEGAL NAME], a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, contactable at [YOUR CONTACT ADDRESS] or hello@formulaite.app. We are the "data controller" for the information described here.
We are completing our registration with the Information Commissioner's Office, and will publish our registration number on this page once it has been issued.
What we collect, and why
At the moment this website collects exactly one piece of personal information:
- Your email address, only if you type it into the "Reserve your place" form and submit it. We store it alongside the date you submitted it and a note that it came from this website.
We use it for one purpose: to email you when early access to Formulaite opens. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, and every email we send will contain an unsubscribe link.
Our web host also keeps standard server logs, which include visitors' IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. These are generated automatically by hosting infrastructure and we do not use them to identify or profile anyone.
What we do not do
- No cookies. This website sets none at all.
- No analytics or tracking. We do not use Google Analytics or any equivalent, and there are no advertising or social media trackers on this site.
- No selling or sharing. We never sell, rent or trade your address, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
- No profiling and no automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Who else can see it
We use service providers ("processors") who handle data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:
- Google Cloud / Firebase — hosts this website and stores the email addresses. The database storing your address is located in Europe. Access is restricted to the site's owner.
In addition, loading this page causes your browser to make requests to a small number of third parties, which means those parties receive your IP address as a normal part of serving the page:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — supplies the typefaces.
- jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net) — supplies an animation library.
- Google (gstatic.com) — supplies the code that saves your address to our database.
Where a provider transfers personal data outside the UK or EEA, that transfer relies on the UK Government's adequacy regulations or on Standard Contractual Clauses, as set out in that provider's own terms.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until early access opens and we have contacted you, and for no more than 24 months after you gave it to us — whichever comes first. We delete it sooner if you ask.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive your data in a portable form;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise any of these, email hello@formulaite.app. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Children
This website is intended for adults making cosmetics, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes to this notice
If we change what we collect or what we do with it, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and we hold your address, we will email you about it.
